Who Am I?

Emily Manson, Founder of Articulate Content

Over the last decade I have been both an in-house and freelance journalist, but increasingly the businesses I have come in contact with have ended meetings by asking if I can have a quick look at something they’ve written, help them write some web copy, edit a press release or just take their current written material and make it better.

I launched Articulate Content in 2015, to answer these businesses’ questions with a resounding ‘yes’!

My Background

I am an established journalist and former events’ organiser with 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. After working for the likes of Anton Mosimann, Peter Boizot (founder of Pizza Express) and the Michelin-starred John Burton Race, I retrained as a journalist working as a restaurant critic at a local London paper. In 2004, I joined Caterer and Hotelkeeper magazine as hotels editor and subsequently rose through the ranks to become content editor responsible for both the magazine and website.

For the last six years I have been freelance. I have written for a range of consumer and trade titles including Caterer & Hotelkeeper, Richmond Resident and Westside magazines, The Guardian London Launch supplement, Waitrose Kitchen, www.greenhotelier.com, Conference and Incentive Travel, Commercial Motor and MIPIM magazines.

I have also written and edited content for clients with a range of needs from ghost-writing blogs to media packs and undertaken specific project work such as Caterer and Hotelkeeper’s Power 100 (2012/2011/2010), Hot Scots (2013), John Brown Media: Waitrose Frozen Brochure, John Lewis Baby Catalogue and Grainger plc tender documents.
